Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Auditor to join our team at KPMG. As a Senior Financial Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits, serving capital markets, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of client financial information.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on financial statement audits, client financial information, and upholding principles of objectivity and independence. You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of client operations, maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, identifying and mitigating risks associated with client transactions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in financial markets, providing guidance and support to clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client-specific risks through review of financial results, external information, business trends, and client transactions.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured audit documentation regarding client processes and technology systems.
  • Execute and document testing of client controls and financial statement account balances using appropriate standards and terminology.
  • Support high-quality audit execution through performance of assigned tasks and professional client and engagement team interactions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, or equivalent program, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above. Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and experience with data analysis tools like Alteryx or Power BI are preferred.

This is an in-person role with some travel required; you must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and location.
