Neighborhood Childcare Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. We offer a unique and enriching program for children ages 2.5 to 5 years old, combining a creative curriculum with a bilingual enrichment component and Montessori work time.

As a leading childcare provider on the west side of Santa Cruz, we prioritize small class sizes (1:8 teacher-student ratio) and individualized attention for each child.

Responsibilities:
  • Guide young learners in exploring fundamental concepts like colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
  • Foster positive social interactions and build children's self-esteem through engaging activities.
  • Implement creative learning methods, including arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
  • Develop comprehensive curriculums that address the diverse developmental needs of preschoolers.
  • Create a structured and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning space for children.
  • Prepare engaging lesson plans by gathering materials and setting up interactive workstations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12 ECE or Child Development Units
  • Prior experience teaching preschool-aged children is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly valued, but not required.
  • A deep understanding and appreciation for multicultural environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to connect with young children effectively.
  • A patient, compassionate, and energetic approach to working with preschoolers.
