Bridge Boston Charter School is a tuition-free, K1-8 public institution serving 335 students in Roxbury, Massachusetts, and the surrounding area—many of whom have faced social, emotional, and developmental challenges to learning. Our comprehensive social-emotional program is specifically designed to support students who have encountered trauma in their homes and communities.

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the selected candidate will act as an advisor for a group of students and fulfill all regular responsibilities and commitments expected of Bridge Boston staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide assistance at reception, manage visitor interactions, and oversee student arrival and dismissal procedures, including handling phone, fax, mail, and online inquiries.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and communicate with staff regarding planned drills (fire, evacuation) and maintain updated binders.
- Building Preparation: Assist in the preparation of fire and evacuation plans.
- Maintenance: Oversee printer and copier upkeep.
- Student Support: Facilitate activities related to arrival and dismissal duties.
- Documentation: Print and organize report cards and progress reports for conferences or mailing.
- Data Management: Periodically enter required enrollment forms from families and maintain organized hard copies in appropriate files; assist with student lottery and enrollment processes.
- Procurement: Aid in ordering and maintaining general supplies, proactively monitor inventory, and adhere to budget constraints; keep communal storage areas organized.
- Inventory Management: Conduct weekly inventory checks and order office supplies as necessary.
- Transportation Coordination: Maintain up-to-date bus route and roster information in organized systems, both electronic and hard copy; ensure accurate daily change lists and enforce safety protocols.
- Event Support: Assist in planning and executing all-school events, including concerts, parent-teacher conferences, family-admin dinners, orientations, staff events, and field day.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned within the job description.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong communication skills with diverse audiences, including students, parents/guardians, and staff.
