Job Title: Director of Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a team of maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement maintenance policies and procedures
  • Supervise and direct maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes related to healthcare facilities
  • Eligible ACHA Background Screening status
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Working Conditions:

The Director of Maintenance will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and exposure to various weather conditions. The role requires the ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 35 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet.
