Location: Primarily onsite with some remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remediation Tasks:
    • Conduct VMware patching and remediation efforts on a bi-weekly basis for multiple enclaves, encompassing over 3000 assets.
    • Update server certificates for all VMware-related assets.
    • Implement security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
    • Execute auditing scripts to fulfill STIG checklists and provide training on remediation efforts and security inspections.
  • VCenter and VMware Upgrades: Manage upgrades to v8 and oversee the setup of HP Synergy at alternate sites.
  • Automation Script Management:
    • Review and maintain scripts essential for daily operations, providing metrics and monitoring for all virtual machines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in VMware vSphere 7 & 8.
  • Proven experience in VMware installation, upgrades, and maintenance within a defense environment.
  • Expertise in STIG compliance for vCenter and ESXi.
  • Ability to design new vSphere infrastructures and evaluate performance.
  • Familiarity with VMware Aria Operations and PowerCLI scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware Certification in Data Center Virtualization or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Experience with VMware NSX and VMware Horizon VDI.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
