JV Girls Assistant Lacrosse Coach

Reports To: Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director
Job Purpose:
- To foster a positive team environment and promote a healthy dynamic between players and coaches.
- To create opportunities for students to participate in sport-specific training during their modified season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend team gatherings and events.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance team camaraderie.
- Plan, direct, and supervise workouts and practices.
- Adjust practice plans to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions.
- Manage equipment and supplies.
- Participate in coaching meetings and discussions.
- Communicate effectively with the team and staff.
- Assist with uniform collection at the end of the season.
- Ride the team bus for practices and games as needed.
- Complete coaching education requirements as specified by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Knowledge of lacrosse and its rules.
- Ability to improve team dynamics and morale.
- Organized, positive, and patient individual.
- Enjoy working with teenagers and young adults.
- Previous playing or coaching experience in lacrosse.
Working Conditions:
Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, lift and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, and travel to offsite facilities. May require working evenings and weekends.
