Faculty Position in Classical Hematology

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team as an open rank faculty member in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will be a clinically active member of our team, providing care to adult patients with a variety of non-malignant hematologic diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient clinical care to patients with non-malignant hematologic diseases
- Attend on the inpatient hematology consult service on an intermittent basis
- Teach and evaluate medical students, medicine residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and advanced practitioners
- Contribute to the development of clinical and translational research opportunities
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board certification/eligibility in Hematology
- Board certification in Internal Medicine is encouraged
- Strong interest in an academic medicine career
- Experience with research and/or medical education
- Strong clinical skills in classical (non-malignant) hematology
- Opportunities for clinical and translational research
- Teaching and education opportunities
- Collaborative and dynamic work environment
