Job Overview

Nelson Electric Company, LC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electrician Helper to join our team in Carroll, Iowa. As a key member of our electrical crew, you will assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, including layout, rough-in, and trim of lighting, power, and low-voltage systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures and engage in regular safety training.
  • Use equipment safely and return it in good condition.
  • Assist with materials management, including jobsite and service materials, and returns.
  • Maintain jobsite and vehicle cleanliness.
  • Adhere to the National Electrical Code, including any local amendments.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, crawl, bend, or kneel for long periods.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs overhead and 100 lbs to waist height.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in all-weather temperatures/climates.
