We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Tenant Services team, responsible for building a consistent reusable communications framework for Splunk as a platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver multiple features to implement Splunk's framework for tenant lifecycle management.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure leveraged by Splunk cloud services, including design and implementation of APIs.
  • Help scale backend systems in a performant, secure, and reliable way.
  • Partner with leaders from architecture, engineering management, and product management on project requirements, designs, and development plans.
  • Identify and develop ways to improve the team by expanding on existing tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with team members on the design and implementation of frameworks and backend components.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers to help develop their technical skills, communication, and careers.
  • Participate in on-call rotation of the team, working on real customer incidents and improving processes.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or 3 years with a Master's in Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience designing and implementing backend microservices using GoLang/Python/Docker/Terraform.
  • Understanding of modern cloud infrastructure backend practices, as well as experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container ecosystems (Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Experience in the implementation of complex technical architectures with a team.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing architectures and principles that solve for scalability, consistency, availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience with an Agile DevOps engineering environment that effectively uses CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Eligibility to support a FedRAMP High environment (US only).
