Respiratory Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients, including diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and perform patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation, and conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
