Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Senior DNS/Infoblox Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise DDI solutions using Infoblox NIOS or alternative technologies like BIND, tinydns, ISC DHCP.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with solution architects, operations teams, developers, and fellow engineers to ensure a stable, documented, and supportable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure.
  • Implement automation processes for plant management and testing using tools like Python and Ansible.
  • Evaluate and recommend architectural, configuration, or code-level changes to improve system performance and stability.
  • Serve as the top-tier escalation point, troubleshooting complex issues by coordinating with infrastructure and application teams.
  • Engage with internal clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable infrastructure solutions tailored to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale enterprise DDI solutions.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale enterprise DDI solutions (preferably Infoblox NIOS or alternatives).
  • Strong understanding of DNS & DHCP protocols and associated architectural best practices.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Experience with automation tools for infrastructure management (e.g., Ansible, Python, shell scripting).
  • Familiarity with Linux command-line tools and system administration.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certifications related to Infoblox or other DDI platforms.
  • Knowledge of DNS global service load balancing (e.g., F5 GTM, Infoblox DTC).
  • Experience with network load-balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Cisco, A10, Arista).
  • Familiarity with containerized and virtualized infrastructure setups.
  • Proficiency with RESTful web APIs.
  • Understanding of version control, deployment tools, and SDLC practices.
