Data Center Operations Specialist

**Job Summary:**

Amaram Technology is searching for a skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design and implement new network services or solutions to meet client needs in the areas of network infrastructure and server management.

- Support the implementation of large, critical IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.

- Identify ongoing problems and opportunities to improve reliability, security, or cost effectiveness of the data center infrastructure, research, and propose solutions.

- Establish processes to collect and analyze data for the purposes of data center capacity planning, providing actionable insights to inform infrastructure decisions.

- Collaborate with the client's General Services Department to co-plan data center facilities upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

- Develop and document standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency in IT operations.

- Analyze potential system failure modes, develop contingency plans, and conduct systems failover testing to ensure business continuity.

- Identify the need for new tools and processes in the areas of responsibility, research, and propose solutions to improve IT operations.

- Stay up-to-date with developments in the data center industry, understanding how new products and technologies can meet our requirements, and integrate them into our broader IT infrastructure.

- Interact and work with other engineers in the group, contributing to the design and implementation of video conferencing, satellite, WAN links, and telephony installations, as well as data center capacity planning.

**Requirements:**

- 10+ years of relevant experience in designing and implementing network infrastructure.

- Strong knowledge of local and remote server management, network monitoring, and KVMs.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

- Experience with data center hosting options, cloud computing, blade systems, and virtualization, and their impact on data center design.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to direct, coach, and develop staff.

- Proven ability to work in an operation and project team-oriented environment, with excellent task planning and monitoring skills.
