Job Overview

The Senior Security Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets by continuously monitoring, assessing, and responding to security threats and incidents. This position involves conducting thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk evaluations to ensure adherence to established security protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor and scrutinize security events and logs from diverse sources, including firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection and prevention systems, web proxies, and endpoint security measures.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and threats, adhering to the established incident response protocols.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk evaluations on the organization's network and systems, providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and trends, delivering valuable insights and guidance to the security team and management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and reports.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in security operations, analysis, or engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in network and system security, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, intrusion detection and prevention, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in utilizing security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, and forensic analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or GCIH.
