Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst II

Overview

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is a leading provider of high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities to the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst II to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in researching, compiling, and analyzing technical data to support Cyber Security operations.
  • Collaborate with senior Cyber Security staff to design and implement secure networks and systems.
  • Validate the functionality of security tools and support the design, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing security infrastructure capabilities.
  • Conduct Cyber Security policy compliance tasks, including discovering unauthorized devices and ensuring network access requirements are met.
  • Scan network devices for vulnerabilities and configuration baseline compliance and report findings.
  • Review Cyber Security threat information and assist in mitigating vulnerabilities identified.
  • Monitor intrusion detection/prevention systems, Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) tools, endpoint security tools, email gateways, firewalls, network infrastructure, and other appliances for security issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a computer-related field and at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles, theories, standards, practices, protocols, and procedures used in Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge of network-based services and client/server applications, cyber security vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, network architecture, and how to apply security controls.
  • Ability to use network scanning and vulnerability tools and interpret the results.
  • Ability to articulate highly technical processes and information to a non-technical audience.

  • Security Plus (SEC +)
  • System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Annual salary range for this position is: $73,011.20 - $110,011.20.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience, and internal equity.
