Position Overview:
Role: Casting and Pasting Operator
Location: Fremont, OH
Compensation: $22.20 to $24.90 per hour based on experience (plus a $1.00 shift premium)
Shifts: 2nd (2 pm to 11 pm) and 3rd (11 pm to 7 am)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery and equipment.
- Efficiently perform equipment setup and changeovers.
- Maintain productivity levels to meet or exceed established benchmarks.
- Engage in various manufacturing tasks, including loading, sorting, pasting, and loading of cells.
- Safely transport pasted plates to designated storage areas.
- Execute the bonding of plate lugs with accuracy.
- Remove casted straps while ensuring product integrity.
- Identify and report any product, process, or quality system issues to supervisory personnel.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operational workflow.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and torches.
- Possess basic mathematical skills for necessary calculations.
- Exhibit strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Utilize experience with inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools to uphold product quality.
- Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in casting or pasting operations.
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening.
