Senior Systems Engineer for Reliability and Maintainability

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Roy, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) assessments and evaluations of equipment as part of the design development process.
As a key member of the Design Integrated Product Team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the required levels of RAM, which is critical to achieving product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Implement, support, and maintain a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) closed-loop data reporting system.
- Track all failures of functional equipment parts from date of failure to date of closure in compliance with Customer's closed-loop FRACAS requirements.
- Collect diagnostic data and maintenance repair data on repair/fix actions to improve RAM performance.
- Analyze equipment designs and provide Baseline Comparative Systems (BCS) assessments, MIL-HDBK-217, Electronic Predicted Reliability Data (EPRD), and Non-Electronic Predicted Reliability Data (NPRD) predictions.
- Develop Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) to assess Logistic and Mission Reliability requirements.
- Develop Maintenance Task Analyses (MTAs) to determine component repair times, crew size, support equipment, skill levels, and maintenance tasks required to restore a component to an operational condition.
- Develop Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) to identify single-point failures, safety-critical failure modes, fault isolation, and detection percentages, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) scheduled maintenance assessments.
- Identify Reliability-Critical Items (RCIs).
- Ensure a failure reporting information system through which an historical trend database can be managed, ensuring accuracy and completeness of failure reporting data, analysis, and root cause corrective action implemented.
- Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
- Ensure that failure mode root cause and corrective action (RCCA) measures meet acceptable R&M standards.
- Propose changes in design, as necessary, to improve system and ensure corrective action effectiveness.
- Develop and present RAM assessments and lessons learned to the Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
- Collaborate with the Supplier Management Team (SMT) and suppliers on ensuring all RAM Supplier Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) are comprehensive and align with all technical requirements in their respective Data Item Descriptions (DID).
- Maintain RAM tasking updates on the RAM Agile Jira Board for each Sprint of the Program Increments (PI).

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $114,900 - $172,300 per year. This estimate is based on the location, job description, and industry standards.
