Northrop Grumman, a pioneer in technological advancements, is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Roy, UT. As a member of our Sentinel program, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative software solutions that impact people's lives worldwide.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned software engineer with 5 years of experience and a strong background in back-end development, object-oriented programming, and C/C++/Python/Linux. The successful candidate will support element-level software coding & development, telemetry, and data processing. You will work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and lab testers to ensure test requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and unit test software code
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and testing
* Develop and release engineering documentation, including software design description documents and diagrams
* Perform Model-Based System Engineering data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build
* Interface with Hardware-In-The-Loop testers and systems engineers in support of verification

Salary and Relocation Assistance:

The salary range for this position is $92,600 - $139,000, with relocation assistance available. This is a 9/80 schedule position, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Certifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Science or related field and 5 years of software development experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience. US Citizenship, an Active DoD Secret clearance, and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) are required. Additional certifications, such as Security+ or higher, and experience with AGILE Software development processes are preferred.
