Position Overview

As a Lifeguard within our Aquatics team, your primary focus will be on safety and exceptional customer service. You will operate in a dynamic environment, overseeing our advanced recreational and lap swimming facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the pool area and ensuring safety on water attractions. Additionally, you will assist in organizing aquatics events, such as community movie nights and pool parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with Members
  • Perform rescues for swimmers in distress and provide first aid as necessary
  • Inform swimmers about potentially hazardous areas and activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool vicinity to promote Member safety

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification in Lifeguarding and First Aid
  • Ability to remain in a fixed position and navigate the facility for extended periods
  • Effective communication skills to assist guests with inquiries regarding our services
  • Proficient swimming skills, capable of swimming distances without stopping
  • Ability to tread water for at least one minute
  • Capable of retrieving a 10 lb diving brick from the pool's bottom and swimming it to the surface without stopping
  • Able to routinely lift more than 20 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service
