The Dietary Cook position at Clarke County Hospital is responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of meals for patients, employees, and guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in institutional food preparation, knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, and the ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook entrees as menued, following standardized recipes and established policies and procedures.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of own work area and perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining area.
- Patient Service: Serve patients, personnel, and guests, and confer with patients to understand their food likes and dislikes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; training in institutional food preparation or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and skills.
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons; ServSafe certified or ability to become certified within 1 year of employment.
- Knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including various types of preparation and related routines.
Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year (based on experience), plus benefits and a rotating schedule of holidays and weekends.
