Nurse Residency Program Overview

Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to foster the growth and development of our nursing staff, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to deliver exceptional patient care.

  • 12-Month Transition-to-Practice Platform: Our residency program offers a structured 12-month platform, providing new graduate nurses with ongoing support and education to ensure a smooth transition into practice.
  • Competency-Based Curriculum: Our program is built on a competency-based curriculum, ensuring that new graduate nurses develop the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Trained Preceptors and Mentorship: Our program includes trained preceptors and mentors, providing new graduate nurses with personalized support and guidance throughout their residency.
Responsibilities

As a Nurse Resident, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, Formulating, and Establishing Goals: You will work with patients to assess their needs, formulate nursing diagnoses, and establish goals for their care.
  • Planning and Implementing Interventions: You will develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with patients and their families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Evaluating Patient Care Outcomes: You will regularly evaluate patient care outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications

To be eligible for our Nurse Residency Program, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing: You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Less than 12 Months of Professional Nursing Experience: You must have less than 12 months of professional nursing experience.
  • Unencumbered License from the Texas Board of Nursing: You must have an unencumbered license from the Texas Board of Nursing.
