We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwest Ambulance. As a member of our Critical Care Response Transport Team, you will be responsible for providing patient assessment, critical nursing care, and transport services to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient assessment, critical nursing care, and transport services to patients.
- Supervise patient care, treatment, and assessment during transport.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including documentation and communication protocols.
- Respond to dispatch instructions and maintain safety standards.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain certification requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Active and unencumbered RN license.
- At least 3 years' current experience in a critical care or emergency department setting.
- Certified in ACLS and PALS prior to hire.
- Certified CEN and/or CCRN preferred.
- Valid driver's license with no more than 2 incidents on MVR.
- Patient transport experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- EMT-B bridge course will be offered upon hire.
- Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Ability to bend and stoop, ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, possess hand-eye-foot coordination and color recognition, good manual dexterity, with the ability to perform all tasks related to Emergency Medical Services Duty.
