Critical Care Nurse Specialist

The Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Madigan Army Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will provide advanced level of specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, including those recovering from major surgery or experiencing life-threatening health problems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced level of specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, including those recovering from major surgery or experiencing life-threatening health problems.
- Independently determine and implement proper emergency measures after identifying and interpreting life-threatening conditions.
- Administer special medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, etc. routes.
- Perform various pulmonary ventilation treatments, such as administration of oxygen and compressed air through various means.
- Assist physicians with complex or potentially life-threatening procedures, such as cardioversion and insertion of invasive lines.
- Develop meaningful goals to assist the critically ill patient and family in attaining the optimum level of physiological, sociological, and psychological balance within the limitations imposed by the illness.
Requirements:
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse License that has not elapsed/expired.
- Must have an Associates, Bachelors or Master's Degree in Nursing.
