Job Summary:

The Downtown Women's Center is seeking a skilled Nonprofit Financial Manager to join our team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with expertise in grants management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and analyzing grants budgets and billings for the organization. You will collaborate with the programs team to review budget versus actual reports, discuss financial trends, and develop responsive spending plans to ensure alignment with program goals and grant requirements.

You will also manage the contracting cycle, including proposal development, budget negotiation, compliance monitoring, and closeout procedures. Additionally, you will prepare grant budgets for government and/or foundation/corporate funding applications, as well as grant invoices/financial reports and budget modifications, as required by funders.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $65,000-$80,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience in nonprofit accounting and grants management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grants budgets and billings
  • Collaborate with programs team to review budget vs actual reports

  • Manage contracting cycle
  • Prepare grant budgets and invoices/financial reports
  • Analyze monthly grant financial reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in nonprofit accounting and grants management
  • Knowledge of accrual-based accounting and basic accounting debts and credits
  • Familiarity with private foundations and government grants
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAGE INTACCT (or similar accounting software)
