Job Summary:

CDM Smith is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting contaminant transport analysis in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions. This will involve well geologic logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing, and soils characterization. The Staff Geologist will also be responsible for preparing cross sections, Iso-concentration maps, and QA/QC analysis. Additionally, the candidate will develop draft evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct contaminant transport analysis in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions
  • Prepare cross sections, Iso-concentration maps, and QA/QC analysis
  • Develop draft evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with sales staff to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services
  • Attend conferences and symposia to stay up-to-date on industry developments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes
