Responsibilities:

* Complete project planning, coordination, and execution with some oversight
* Independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized standard projects simultaneously
* Create conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards
* Responsible for HVAC calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems on assigned projects
* Solid understanding of applications engineering such as psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems
* Appropriate engagement of engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions
* Proactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction, and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners
* Conduct economic and energy analyses
* Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving/troubleshooting, as required
* Responsible for the quality of design drawings and models
* Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members
* Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines
* Oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager
* Strong understanding of ACCO engineering standards and project execution processes

Requirements:

* BS in Engineering or Construction Management
* Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required
* 3+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant
* Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals
* Thorough understanding of systems and applications
* Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

Physical Requirements:

* The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

* This individual must be a responsible person and regular attendance is required

Hours:

* This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs

Competitive Wages:

* $50.97 to $62.02 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation
