Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting proper technical factors for study and performing diagnostic CT examinations with precision and accuracy
  • Operating and maintaining the CT scanner, pressure injector, and other related equipment
  • Preparing and positioning patients for exams, ensuring their modesty and safety
  • Documenting clinical information, obtaining informed consent, and completing required fields in MEDITECH
  • Obtaining high-quality CT images and submitting them for interpretation
  • Maintaining proficiency in executing software protocols and staying up-to-date with changes in the field
  • Communicating effectively with patients and other caregivers, including radiologists
  • Checking equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness, and stocking supplies
  • Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited institution
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
