Impact of the Role: In this position, you will support the architecture, configuration, and upkeep of a vast, globally utilized virtual desktop framework. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in diagnosing performance-related issues across the organization. This role demands expertise in system design, integration, identity lifecycle management, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI-related challenges.
  • Offer guidance on optimizing desktop environments for seamless platform interoperability.
  • Deliver endpoint support for troubleshooting and resolution of Virtual Desktop issues.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge in the administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure technologies.
  • Operate within complex production environments, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Utilize extensive technical expertise to conduct trade studies and make informed recommendations.

Qualifications for Success:

Required:

  • Experience in providing engineering support for both legacy and current Citrix products.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive experience from Administrator to Senior Engineer roles.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later.
  • Familiarity with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
  • Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX.
  • Understanding of Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM) and Citrix App Layering.
  • Experience with Liquidware Profile Unity and Hyper V, VMware VDI.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing Windows Server clustering.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies.
  • Experience in Home Directory and Profile Management Support Services.
  • Proficiency in Desktop Software Provisioning and Support Services.
