The Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of the JBS USA Holdings, Inc. team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently, and that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventories of parts and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and that production schedules are met.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum three years' experience in a maintenance or production environment; experience with mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and pneumatics preferred.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Maintenance Mechanic will work in a fast-paced production environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, and hazardous materials. The ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds is required.
