Fleet Technician Job Description

PepsiCo is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and repair work on a variety of vehicles, including light, medium, and heavy commercial trucks, vans, and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle failures, including disassembling and reassembling parts as necessary
  • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes and documentation of work completed
  • Work with computer-based diagnostics and modern truck interfaces
  • Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate records
  • Answer road calls and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit or Class A CDL
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical movements, including bending, reaching, and climbing
  • Basic computer skills, including email and web browsing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working under limited supervision and performing work on your own
  • Previous experience working outdoors and making road calls
  • Previous experience maintaining manufacturing standards and working with electronics
  • Previous experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL
