The ElasticSearch Infrastructure Engineer position offers essential support within an Agile team operating in a DevSecOps framework.
This role is crucial for overseeing a substantial enterprise ElasticSearch implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain ElasticSearch clusters in a cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance across multiple availability zones.
- Monitor the health and efficiency of ElasticSearch clusters to guarantee they operate under ideal conditions.
- Assess and enhance existing ElasticSearch configurations, focusing on indexing, search and query performance, security, and administration.
- Maintain the necessary infrastructure to uphold performance and data integrity.
- Upgrade ElasticSearch clusters as necessary, considering the applications that depend on them.
- Customize and deploy clusters to fulfill various development and business requirements.
- Optimize indexes to align with business objectives, such as logging and enterprise search.
- Diagnose and resolve issues within the clusters, ranging from minor errors to significant failures.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, development, and operations teams to ensure production scalability and stability.
- Implement security measures for the ElasticSearch cluster.
- Adhere to and apply Elastic best practices.
- Establish effective monitoring and alerting systems for ElasticSearch.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ElasticSearch Administration.
- Proven experience in maintaining and integrating ElasticSearch within an operational enterprise information system.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience deploying and utilizing ElasticSearch in commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- **A Master's degree with 15 or more years of relevant experience is required.**
- TS/SCI with Poly is mandatory for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with customer systems.
- Understanding of customer system development policies.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $144,000 and $260,850. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation.
Factors influencing the offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity, among others.
