Job Summary:

The Commercial Business Risk Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the risk program for the Commercial Digital organization at Huntington National Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage compliance with policy and procedure standards, coordinate governance of policies and procedures with Asset Finance leadership, and ensure governing policies are appropriately disseminated throughout the organization.
  • Own projects related to risk identified by Asset Finance and corporate risk, effectively communicate and coordinate the impacts on Asset Finance.
  • Work with leadership and Legal & Compliance to interpret risk impacts from identified gaps or regulatory changes, coordinate with each affected department to ensure development of appropriate policies and procedures, and provide management with sufficient information for decision-making.
  • Serve as the principal risk representative to internal and third-party examiners on compliance matters for Asset Finance, assist with coordination of all internal and third-party exams.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties in Asset Finance to implement and maintain the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring recovery time objectives are achieved in the event of plan activation.
  • Oversee or supervise implementing and providing direction in support of new or revised policies, procedures, integrations, technology, and workflow support, in coordination with the Leadership team.
  • In partnership with Asset Finance, ensure the successful coordination and risk management of maintenance and vendor issues, as well as the vendor and non-vendor management program.
  • Provide technical expertise and judgment in the implementation and monitoring of modifications to processes in accordance with changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Provide input and effectively communicate changes to the Risk & Control environment and RCSA Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • 5+ years of related risk management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management with a focus on Digital Technology and Commercial Banking.
  • Strong consulting skills, including the capability to quickly identify and develop improvement plans.
  • Experience in digital solutions and/or an understanding of related regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze situations and risks, recommend paths of action, and execute flawlessly.
  • Leadership in the online and/or mobile space.
  • Self-starter who develops plans and is committed to hitting delivery dates.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstration of strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Must be savvy and passionate about driving results and innovation.
