Healthcare Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

• Provide Excellent Patient Care: Treat all patients with politeness, promptness, and helpfulness, in line with our organization's values and standards.
• Active Participation: Engage in regular huddles and team meetings to improve workflows and contribute to better patient outcomes.
• Efficient Workflow Management: Maintain productivity and efficiency in your work to accommodate the volume and acuity of our practice.
• Effective Communication: Handle difficult conversations with patients and internal customers in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Administrative Support: Register patient demographic and insurance information accurately, provide necessary forms, and schedule appointments.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service for incoming inquiries, screen calls, and route messages to the appropriate individual in a timely manner.
• Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, confirm, acknowledge, and cancel patient appointments, including surgical and ancillary services.
• Financial Management: Collect co-pays and patient due balances, and perform end-of-day reconciliation of payments and appointments.
• Insurance Verification: Utilize insurance verification systems and take appropriate action based on eligibility responses.
• Consent and Follow-up: Obtain patient consents and signatures, schedule follow-up appointments when indicated, and investigate and problem-solve insurance denials.
• Patient-Centered Care: Provide patient-centered care, participate in the referral process, and initiate, receive, and process insurance and services referrals.
• Security and Compliance: Report potential or actual patient safety issues, process health information requests, and ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.

• Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
• Working Conditions: Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people, diseases or infections, noise levels, noxious odors, very hot or cold temperatures, and prolonged periods of sitting.
