Job Overview

Position Title: Metal Fabrication Technician

Role Summary: The Metal Fabrication Technician is responsible for assembling intricate components in accordance with specified guidelines and/or schematics.

  • Assemble sizable, detailed components based on work instructions and/or technical drawings.
  • Utilize hand tools to install fasteners such as nuts, bolts, and rivets.
  • Prepare sheet metal parts for powder coating by applying protective materials like masking tape and rubber plugs.
  • Post-coating, remove protective materials and manage parts on the conveyor system, ensuring accurate identification, counting, and labeling.
  • Package completed components for distribution and operate pallet jacks for material handling.
  • Possess experience in assembling complex components, proficiency with power tools, ability to recognize both metric and standard hardware, effective communication skills with supervisors and peers, basic mathematical skills (addition and subtraction), and the capability to read a tape measure.
Shift Information:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Night Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $20.00, based on experience and interview performance.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal assembly.
  • Prior experience in a production environment.
Work Environment:
  • Fabrication facility with non-climate controlled conditions.
