We are seeking a skilled Shipbuilding Fabricator to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various ship components, including bulkheads, wood and metal articles, interior wood finishes, and cabin accessories.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble bulkheads, wood and metal articles, and interior wood finishes
- Install and repair deck structures, including wood and metal deck components
- Mount furniture, racks, and bins, as well as partition bulkheads and decorative ceilings
- Work in small, tight, or confined spaces, and climb ladders and work at extreme heights
- Lift heavy objects weighing 40 lbs. or more, and work while repeatedly reaching overhead
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test
