Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting all assigned asset area maintenance activities, working closely with planners, area engineers, and operations to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Support all assigned asset area maintenance activities, including on-the-tools responsibilities as needed.
- Meet with planners, area engineers, and operations to review open work orders, current equipment issues, and set priorities.
- Work with shift mechanics to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and assist in obtaining needed parts.
- Be the primary contact for reliability issues and corrective actions requested by operations.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
- Participate in BBS and have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LOTO policy.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required. Associate's Degree in Maintenance-related field, equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Five or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong technical skills, including mechanical aptitude, boiler maintenance experience, and industrial facility maintenance experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others to achieve goals.
- Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities, read charts and document numbers and events on paper and in computer, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Six Sigma Certification (Black or Green) and TPM, preferred but not required.
The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with exposure to hot and/or abrasive surfaces, possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels, and moving machinery or moving objects on the production floor.
