About the Opportunity

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Washington, DC. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll records, ensuring proper coding and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Post payroll entries to the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for two locations, recognizing revenues and expenses to determine Net Income for reimbursements.
  • Support the monthly close process.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and oversee wire transfers and ACH payments.
  • Implement efficiencies and support the Controller with various tasks and projects.
Requirements
  • Preferred degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems, particularly Sage 300 CRE.
  • Knowledge of contract management is a plus.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs.
  • Previous real estate industry experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Driven and results-oriented.
  • Team player with a good sense of humor.
