Position Overview
Join us in our dynamic support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's transformative force in space acquisition, SDA provides space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter, enhancing terrestrial missions through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA leverages a distinctive business model that emphasizes speed and cost-effectiveness by utilizing commercial development to establish a proliferated architecture and bolster resilience. We are in search of a Configuration Manager to assist in SDA's mission. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate vendor-supplied integrated master schedules (IMS)
- Coordinate inputs and develop a government-specific IMS
- Identify scheduling conflicts, critical paths, schedule risks, and discrepancies; present findings to senior leadership
- Stay informed of internal developments to guide scheduling updates
- Create internal briefing materials as directed by the government team
- Produce external-facing materials (briefings, emails, etc.) with a high standard of quality and attention to detail
- Support the Tranche Director and Cell Lead
- Provide general assistance to the SDA as required (coordinate meetings, briefings, etc.)
- Assist application product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams (i.e., Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in developing integrated master schedules using Microsoft Project
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- Proficient in using presentation development tools, particularly PowerPoint
- Exceptional written and visual communication skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a highly dynamic organization
- TS with SCI Eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or relevant technical field
- Previous experience supporting space system development or the Department of Defense
