Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Coordinator to join our team at Ardurra Group, LLC. As a key member of our Utilities group, you will play a critical role in coordinating and performing technical work related to utility adjustments and relocations in support of transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, utility companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of utility adjustments and relocations.
  • Implement policies and procedures related to utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Monitor utility work schedules to ensure timely deliverables and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Perform records research and conduct field reviews to identify potential utility conflicts and resolve issues through coordination with the Engineer of Record and UAOs.
  • Assist senior staff members in determining the need for Subsurface Utility Engineering and support the Engineer of Record in the development of utility conflict matrices.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and act as a backup to other staff in the Utilities group to perform related work as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of prior practical experience performing utility coordination for transportation projects according to established state and federal standards, policies, procedures, and design criteria.
  • Familiarity with principles of utility coordination and associated terminology, as well as FDOT utility coordination practices and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with MicroStation or similar software a plus.
  • Public relations experience for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both internal and external.
  • Skill in establishing priorities and organizing work.
