Position Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hotel guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service by ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive team culture that aligns with the principles of the Spirit of Tlcn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms and floors, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing linens and amenities.
  • Arrange toiletries and bedroom amenities to meet pre-set standards.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and tools are maintained and stored properly.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs to a Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Follow established procedures for chemical and key control usage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and supply inventory in storage areas.
  • Assist with recycling efforts.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster a supportive team environment.
  • Previous cleaning experience or ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to learn hotel operating systems.
  • Ability to maintain an average room inspection score of 90% or higher.
  • Ability to complete a twelve-credit quota within an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to stand for long periods with frequent reaching, lifting, and bending.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours.
  • Ability to maintain highest level of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Ability to adhere to company safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Housekeeping experience in a 3-4 Diamond hotel preferred.
