Aircraft Maintenance Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to support ongoing projects for a leading Aerospace company in Trumbull, CT. This is a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Job Summary:This is a safety-sensitive position that requires inclusion in a Drug and Alcohol screening program. The successful candidate will consistently and accurately disassemble, clean, evaluate, perform repairs, modifications, and assembly on Aircraft components in accordance with approved data.
Key Responsibilities:- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Use precision measuring instruments and gauges, such as feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
- Perform repair of detail components by filing, stoning, lapping, and polishing.
- Use power and hand tools for drilling, sanding, and riveting.
- Write clear and concise reports on evaluations and communicate repair requirements.
- Adhere to EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
- Follow procedures found in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORIs, OREIs, drawings, check sheets, etc.
- Be competent in the use of torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specification SS9300.
- Chemically treat repaired surfaces in accordance with approved data.
- Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper identification of parts, operational sequence, and record information on appropriate documentation.
- Drill, ream, tap, change studs, install helicoils, install bushings, and liners by shrink fitting and arbor press.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- US Citizenship.
- Automotive trade school preferred.
- Fir frame license but not required.
