Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Security Specialist to assist a Department of the Navy (DoN) client.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $160,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation for corporate and research, development, test, and evaluation (RDTE) information systems within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Coordinate with network operations and software development teams to guarantee accurate testing results, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scans, Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists, and Assessment Procedure (AP) assessments, which are then submitted to eMASS and Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Department of Navy RMF Process.
- Possess familiarity with Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) and the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) Special Publication series.
- Have a working knowledge of tools such as ACAS, DISA STIGs, eMASS, and VRAM, including the ability to analyze test results and create the corresponding RMF documentation.
- Preferred familiarity with additional tools that support RMF processes, including STIGViewer and Vulnerator.
- Preferred understanding of the Navy RMF Process Guide (RPG) and Naval Sea Systems Command.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience with DoD Cybersecurity Authorization & Accreditation processes and tools, including RMF and eMASS.
- At least five years of experience in Cybersecurity system auditing and monitoring, including Inspector General inspection and Command Cyber Readiness Inspection criteria.
- Experience with the Navy's ACAS system and Navy's VRAM.
- A Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity, or eight years of hands-on experience in the same fields.
- Possess one of the following current certifications: GSLC, CISSP, CISM, CAP, or CASP.
- Security Clearance: An Interim DoD Secret Clearance is required to commence employment, with potential requirements for a TS clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Graduate degree from an accredited institution or relevant military training certifications.
- Experience with DoD or DoN cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Experience managing DoD Cybersecurity Program requirements and deliverables.
- Knowledge of HBSS, Firewall, IDS, and IPS.
