We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at JBS USA Holdings, Inc. in Elkhart, IN. As a key member of our production operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Sanitation and Food Safety: Develop and implement effective sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of sanitation personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order and meets sanitation and safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sanitation procedures, equipment maintenance, and personnel training.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in the plant facility.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in food science, microbiology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in sanitation or a related field, preferably in a food processing environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Production Environment: Work in a production environment with exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives.
- Temperature and Noise: Work in a cold temperature environment with loud ambient noise.
- Shift Work: Work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
