  • Design and execute restorative practices, facilitate conflict resolution, and promote social skills enhancement.
  • Lead group discussions on various subjects and advocate for the needs of diverse youth and their families.
  • Adhere to program guidelines, maintain precise documentation, and represent restorative practices at community events.
  • Proactively work towards achieving performance goals and support the holistic development of students.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions, ensuring access to necessary resources.

Decision-Making Authority: The Specialist will independently determine task assignments and engage with students, demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, and compliance with established policies.

Competency Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, ethical integrity, analytical reasoning, leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering the growth of others.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, human services, or social work, along with relevant experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, familiarity with restorative practices, knowledge of child development, and a valid NYS license are required.
  • Physical requirements include occasional standing, squatting, lifting up to 40 lbs, and frequent sitting.
