Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate childcare staff, providing ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
  • Environment and Safety: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents and community partners to support children's individual needs and foster a sense of belonging and community.
  • Compliance and Operations: Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, school district regulations, health and safety standards, and program policies and procedures.
  • Program Management: Manage program budgets, enrollment, and administrative tasks effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience required in an Abbott preschool district and supervisory experience within an Abbott center, understanding of the CACFP requirements ECERS & TPOT assessments and Teaching Strategies Gold. Understanding of the NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Language: Bilingual a plus.
