Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at 1st Class Security. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and apprehending shoplifters, conducting floor patrols, and utilizing Closed Circuit TV to prevent theft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrols and Closed Circuit TV
  • Report writing and documentation
  • Interacting with local law enforcement agencies as needed
  • Providing courtroom testimony as required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Requirements:

  • Pre-employment criminal background and drug screen
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
  • Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports
  • Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
  • Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
  • Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
  • Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not a requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
  • Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment
