Your Role:
If you are a Field Engineer seeking professional growth, we offer an exciting opportunity. Based out of our operational hub, you will provide expert support for PLCs and/or DCS systems. Collaborating with a team of customer support engineers, you will analyze and resolve issues related to the installation, start-up, and operation of advanced distributed control systems and their components at client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct various related tasks, including on-site training for customer personnel, developing and modifying maintenance procedures, performing quality control tests, and evaluating products. Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting on all activities, focusing on problem identification.
  • Lead the efforts of personnel involved in the installation of control systems, sub-systems, and equipment, or their routine modifications and repairs.
  • Provide direct engineering support to clients and serve as a liaison within the company regarding equipment-related issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal project teams, customer project teams, and contractors.
  • Utilize troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills effectively.
Who You Are:
You recognize the significance of internal customer relationships and demonstrate initiative in challenging situations. You excel at identifying and seizing opportunities, gathering data from diverse sources to solve problems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent field engineer experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of networking and experience in computer assembly/troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to travel locally to client sites, including occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to comply with Emerson's vehicle policy and possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DCS/PLC controls.
  • Experience in the power and water/wastewater treatment sectors.
