- Ability to work in nursing homes and hospitals day in and day out
- Lifting requirements: ability to lift 70-pound objects from the floor to chest level
- Hand-powered tools: ability to operate powered drills, powered screwdrivers, and other powered tools
- Manual tool manipulation: ability to turn manual sockets, crescent wrenches, and screwdrivers repeatedly over the course of an eight to 10-hour day
- Ability to sit, kneel, squat, bend, and stand repeatedly in an eight to 10-hour period to assemble and repair instrument suites
- Ability to push and pull heavy objects (on casters)
- Ability to perform fine motor tasks while reaching over the course of an eight to 10-hour day
- Ability to carry a 40-pound pack on your back or shoulder for up to one hour
- Ability to drive distances of up to six hours in adverse weather conditions
- May be required to wear a respirator while servicing equipment, thus must be able to pass a fit test and medical evaluation
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally
This is a heavy travel position, and you will be assigned to locations closest to your worker location as much as possible. The schedule is between 8-10 hour days depending on the location, and there may be some needs to work off-hours to get into OR suites when procedures aren't taking place.
