ERP Manager Job Summary

The ERP Manager will oversee the planning, design, and development of ERP solutions that support the core organizational functions. This role requires proven project management skills to effectively communicate, analyze, and problem-solve complex solutions for large-scale ERP projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the enterprise implementation of MRP, custom developments, upgrades, and maintenance of Sage X3.
  • Utilize the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for bug identification and modification testing.
  • Supervise the ERP team in testing solutions and product acceptance phases to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify appropriate customization and configuration of workflows to allow the integration of client/server applications.
  • Work with the IT Project Manager and other ERP team members as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sage X3.
  • Lead meetings with Sage X3 partners, third-party vendors, and internal staff. Review invoices regarding ERP customizations and overall costs.
  • Lead requirement definitions and design sessions through the use of interviews, surveys, user workshops, product/prototype demos, etc.
  • Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into efficient SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of techniques to optimize query performance, such as indexing strategies and query execution plans.
  • Analyze import/export data ERP data. Evaluate existing ancillary applications and provide recommendations.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of ERP functional work experience implementing process improvement, custom development, and market-place solutions.
  • Building workflow automation for critical areas of the business.
  • Sage X3 ERP preferred, but not required.
  • SQL and Database optimization.
  • Must have experience developing ERP solutions within distribution and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience working with Bills of Materials, Inventory Optimization, scheduling, shipping, Integrations.
  • Proficiency in manipulating data using SQL functions is essential.
  • Proficient understanding in database design principles such as normalization, table relationships, and indexing and how these principles affect queries.
  • 3+ experience setting up integrations and strong understanding of Sage X3 architecture and APIs.
  • Product data structure and optimization best practices.
  • Ability to perform in a demanding environment where change is common.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an ERP team.
