Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Participate with the project team and preconstruction services in developing a Project Chart of Accounts, ensuring accurate and comprehensive project planning.
  • Site Logistics: Coordinate with the Project Superintendent in developing a project site logistics plan, ensuring efficient and safe project execution.
  • Subcontractor Management: Assist the Superintendent in managing subcontractors, ensuring timely and high-quality work.
  • Contract Management: Maintain a thorough understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract, ensuring compliance and effective project execution.
  • Submittal and Change Order Process: Oversee the submittal, change order, and pay request process, ensuring timely and accurate project documentation.
  • Cost Management: Assist in generating project costs and Job Cost Reports, ensuring accurate and comprehensive project financial management.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Contribute to analyzing and forecasting quarterly Total Cost Projection reports, ensuring proactive project financial management.
  • Training and Development: Monitor and record training of all staff personnel, ensuring ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Project Labor and Equipment Management: Monitor project labor and report and track equipment needs, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
  • Preconstruction Services: Assist preconstruction services in bidding projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive project planning.
  • Safety and Quality: Implement applicable safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Quality Process: Participate in the project's quality process, ensuring high-quality project execution.
  • Schedule and Close-Out Processes: Contribute to schedule and project close-out processes, ensuring timely and effective project completion.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally design-build projects with a value of $25+ million.
  • Project Safety Record: Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Construction Principles and Practices: Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Previous experience leading a successful project management team.
  • Results-Oriented and Urgent: Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding, and lift objects at least 50lbs.
