The Collision/Body Shop Manager is accountable for ensuring the efficiency, profitability, and reputation of our body shop's daily operations, which includes:
- Overseeing the quality, timeliness, and manner in which repair services are executed and delivered.
- Fostering a cohesive team environment with a positive attitude among all body shop personnel.
- Recruiting, training, motivating, and evaluating the performance of all technicians and body shop staff.
- Directing and scheduling the activities of all technicians, assigning tasks that align with their skill sets.
- Regularly assessing actual performance and identifying reasons for any discrepancies.
- Providing technical support, supervision, and assistance to technicians as required.
- Ensuring that all repair work is completed accurately and within an acceptable timeframe.
- Maintaining awareness of current and anticipated market conditions.
- Staying informed about all federal, state, and local regulations impacting operations.
- Aiming for and sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Coordinating the resolution of customer complaints while prioritizing customer satisfaction and departmental profitability.
- Adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and procedures consistently.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in collision management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of structural collision repairs.
- Understanding of DRP processes for insurance claims.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to remain composed under pressure.
- Strong leadership and motivational capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills to adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
